And you can download or create as many levels as you want. The only way I can make it challenging for myself is to either play a level that I don't know very well, or put it on the hardest difficulty and only use a pistol! The simulants (obviously) don't htink like human players would, and you can tell that you're playing with simulants.Īll in all, however, I love this game. I've gotten so that the "hard" difficulty level is almost too easy for me, because I can predict where the simulants are going to go, every time. There's almost a 2 second delay before either of them will start shooting. A terrorist and counterterrorist both go around the same corner and meet, face to face. Second dislike: the delay with which the simulants engage in a firefight. Again, this happens rarely, but does happen sometimes. They will just face the wall until someone comes and shoots them. Another glitch seems to be that the simulants will sometimes hide, and never come out. But this only happens once evry 15 or 25 rounds, if that. On Dust 2, one terrorist will randomly spend the entire 4 minutes of the round trying to jump up on the boxes near their spawn point. First, there seems to be a small glitch or two. Even better, there are levels of difficulty that you can put the simulants on, which means you can have it be super easy or nearly impossible to excel!Ī few problems with the simulants. What's coolest about this game is you don't even have to have an internet connection to play! There' built-in simulants which acts pretty real! I don't even play on the internet anymore because of all the hackers and cheaters, I'd rather stick with the simulants. But there are a lot more options for playing modes. I love this game! This has revamped a few of the older levels, and the weaponsa re the same. It's not ideal since the whole point of Counter Strike is going up against teams of humans, but it will work.Ĭounter Strike Source also support cross platform play between PC and Mac.Excludes: Southeast Asia, Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Democratic Republic of the, Congo, Republic of the, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon Republic, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mayotte, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Reunion, Rwanda, Saint Helena, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Russian Federation, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan Republic, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Korea, South, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Guadeloupe, Venezuela, Barbados, Martinique, French GuianaįANTASTIC (except for the simulated players issues) You can create a passworded game and invite your friend to join you, your PC will act as the server. My reasoning is that the more recent games have larger player bases, better support for newer PC's going forwards, and better integration with Steam services. Of the 3 you listed that would be Counter Strike Source, although Counter Strike Global Offensive is even more recent. Given that I would recommend you play the most recent game. You will find that they all play very similarly, and they all have similar learning curves. Having said that, all of the CS games are so very similar that there is little to choose between then regarding your question of suitability for "non experienced" players. There is no inter-game play available between any of the titles, they are separate games with different systems, mechanics, weapons, maps, etc.
